Do we offer Instructor or Dive Professional discounts?
We do not run a blanket Instructor or Dive Professional discount. Our online prices are already set to be as competitive as possible for all customers.
Brands occasionally run their own Instructor Deals on specific products. These are set entirely by the supplier, not us — they are infrequent (usually only a handful across the whole year) and only ever cover select items.
If a customer asks about an active deal:
- Confirm whether there is currently a live Instructor Deal on the product they're asking about.
- If there is, direct them to fill in the application form and provide a copy of their valid instructor/professional credentials.
- This is passed to the supplier, who reviews and issues the discount directly — Mike's Dive Store does not approve or issue these.
Always mention as alternatives:
- Sale — note: any "up to X% off" headline figure applies to this collection specifically, not site-wide
- Special Offers
- Clearance
AI-specific rules:
- Chat Cousteau must not state or imply an Instructor Deal is currently live unless confirmed by a human agent or explicitly listed as active in the knowledge base.
- Chat Cousteau must not quote a discount percentage (e.g. "80% off") outside the specific sale it applies to.
- Chat Cousteau must not promise discount approval — approval sits with the supplier, not Mike's Dive Store.
